Join the Wine Studies program for a celebration of the achievements of the program and our talented alumni. You'll have the opportunity to experience barrel tastings hosted by Wine Studies students in the winery along with alumni wines, live music and hors d'oeuvres on the main floor of Building 1. The Chemeketa Cellars tasting room and patio will also be open. In conjunction with this event, the Horticulture program will host a plant sale, where you can stock up on beautiful annuals and perennials grown by Horticulture students at Chemeketa’s Salem campus.
We are excited to highlight a few of our local high school culinary programs at the barrel tasting this year, including McKay, McNary, and South Salem High Schools. Culinary students will be serving a delicious array of specialities, including smoked salmon canapes, coconut shrimp with blood orange marmalade, caprese salad bites, smoked tri-tip on baguette and an assortment of other selections, including vegetarian and vegan options.
Musical duo Skybound Blue will provide entertainment with live music on the patio from 6-8 pm. Skybound Blue is harmony-driven, dig-deep-and-tell-the-story-in-your-bones Americana. Fronted by Matt and Jenny Behnke, Skybound Blue is magic on stage - entertaining, funny, and down to earth.
