Our fifth annual Beaujolais Nouveau release party will be held on November 16 from 6-8 pm. Join Chemeketa Cellars and other local wineries pouring nouveau varietals in celebration of this famous French holiday. Beaujolais Nouveau is a red wine made from Gamay in the Beaujolais region of France to celebrate the end of harvest. Nouveau is traditionally released on the third Thursday of November every year at festive release parties and is meant to be consumed immediately after bottling.
The ticket price of $20 ($15 for wine club members) includes tastings of Nouveau from local wineries and our student-made Nouveau along food pairings and live music. The Chemeketa Cellars tasting room will also have wine for sale by the glass and bottle. Mingle with Wine Studies students and local wineries pouring Nouveau and Gamay Noir wines, learn about the Nouveau tradition, and enjoy a relaxing evening of lively jazz, lovely Nouveau, and luscious treats.
