About Chemeketa Cellars
Before it was a community college, the land on which the Chemeketa Salem Campus sits was a gathering place for native peoples to come together and exchange news, knowledge and goods.

Chemeketa Cellars, in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, is where past, present and future winemakers “gather” to collaborate on wine growing and making methods. Using our vineyard’s world-class fruit to create award-winning wines, students and faculty exchange knowledge to craft bold new styles that fully express the terroir of our gathering place at Chemeketa Eola, on the bank of the Willamette River in West Salem, Oregon.  Come together here with us to support our work and share our story.

A visit to the Chemeketa Cellars tasting room is the best way to experience our award-winning student-made wines. Students of the Wine Studies program operate the tasting room and share their knowledge about the wines currently being poured. It is a great opportunity to interact with the winemakers to learn about their studies and what influences their decision to join the wine industry in Oregon. Bring your friends and family and share in the bounty of the Willamette Valley with us! You are welcome to bring outside food during tasting room hours or enjoy one of our charcuterie platters.

The tasting room has a variety of wines for tasting and purchase. During regular tasting room hours, the tasting fee is $15, refundable with the purchase of two bottles. The tasting fee is waived for Wine Club members.
